Anyone out there using a phone skope adaptor that allows a  smartphone to snap pictures though an optical device? How satisfied are you?

I picked one up from Jim Zipp of www.fatrobin.com, Meopix from Meopta for iPhone 4s -- I went in for a bino to tripod adapter, also handy, and he had this & I bought it.

It was a great buy!  Thanks, Jim!  (This is one reason to use your local store:  they may know what you need better than you do!)

I use it all the time with my iPhone, including when out walking.  One can get ok photos even simply holding the binos with adapter, and if one can get some support, against a tree or railing, it's all the better.  And at home, sometimes I'll leave my binos mounted on a tripod with the iPhone attached, pointed at the feeders, for quick & easy photos as needed.

Worth every penny -- and it wasn't much.  These aren't professional quality finish, but the 4s & 5 have pretty good cameras, & this mount is very helpful.

Good luck! Arthur.
