Newington Birds - 4/26

Despite the noisy presence of a dirt biker, a quick walk around Cedar
Mountain this morning produced a total of 27 species.  The highlights were:
Wood Duck pair

Red-shouldered Hawk

Broad-winged Hawk ( 8 flying north along the ridgeline)

Golden-crowned Kinglet  (a first for this location)

Blue-gray Gnatcatcher  (also  a first for this location)

Hermit Thrush

Yellow Warbler

Chestnut-sided Warbler  (local FOY for this regular migrant)

Yellow-rumped Warbler

Rose-breasted Grosbeak (local FOY)
