To All -
I think the weather scared away a lot of racers tonight, but the conditions
weren't that bad.
Rainy? Check. Cool? Check. Windy? Check. But the wind held nicely from the
north/northeast, even though some nasty lifts and headers on the upwind leg
caused many extra tacks.
Thanks to Howie and Bob Shoemaker for setting everything up, and a big
congratulations to John Michael and his crew in Spirit for taking line
honors. What a sight with his huge spinnaker barreling down on the finish
line! Wow, that's one big boat.
Wednesday Night race results are posted on the white Leader Board on the
patio, and we'll get the final results published with throw-outs within the
next couple of days. If you missed a race because you had Race Committee or
Race Patrol duty for the Cruising Fleet, please let me know. You should be
assigned your average score.
That does it for Wednesday Night racing for 2017. Hope you all had fun.
There's still a lot of Sunday racing left for the Fleet championship, and
the HRYRA Last Chance Regatta will be October 7th/8th.
See you on the water.
