Time Out!

Hello All...This is a forced 'Time Out' for Cinderella. We are happily

here in Fairhope AL on the eastern bank of Mobile Bay, waiting for the rivers
to 'run slow'. We may be here awhile yet so we've rented a car and are
enjoying the area which I've fallen in love with! My cousins left  yesterday
so we're on our own. I was worried about Wayne Flatt who by now, is not that
far ahead of us, having already left this area to start the trek UP the Tenn
Tom. We'd been busy having fun with family when the dockmaster came to alert
us to the river conditions, and yesterday we checked with Demopolis, so we're
staying put awhile yet. Today I heard from Wayne and yes, he DID have
trouble...his 7.5 kn dropped back to 4ish and they were dodging 'trash' and
deadheads all the way. At least they're safe!
Now that we have the car, I can get back on my wireless if I drive to the
top of the hills, so I feel 'alive' again! This wireless is fabulous when in
range! The cell phones come and go, usually mid-sentence!
Fairhope is one gorgeous small town and I'm inhaling as much of it as I
can. Hills for a change from 'flat Florida' and real trees! The town of
Fairhope is covered in flowers, not a high-rise in sight, and a variety of
housing, mostly lovely, but nice smaller places too. But it has ANTS. I mean
they have invaded the boat and now, when I got into my rent-a-car today,
nearly brand new, the entire doorframe was alive with a zillion ants! Then the
seats...had to make the hardware store the # one stop for spray! At least I
can drive to the top of the hill and send/receive email now so life is good!
