Snip "Below is a sample list of the regulatory issues that officials
such
as the Coast Guard will want to check. The list shows where each item
is located "

This is a good idea. I came up with a simple outline laminated drawing
of the boat which I post in both heads (something to read whilst sitting
there!) and on the fly bridge near the helm. The drawing indicates the
location and type of fire extinguishers, first aid supplies, MOB gear,
radios(and GPS for ships position), life jackets, liferaft with release
instructions, EPIRB. damage plugs and flares. Since this is for crew
knowledge in the event of emergencies ships paperwork isn't included. I
could email a copy to anyone interested.
