09/19/14 - Milford, Milford Point -- a single Lesser Black-backed
Gull, roosting or standing on the nearest sandbar from the end of the
point (almost due south from the platform). Appears to be in breeding
plumage still, showing little streaking on the head.

09/18/14 - Norwalk, yard -- I had a Peregrine Falcon fly high over the
yard this afternoon. 10-15 minutes later, another came swooping down
just over the treetops, then shot straight up and followed the same
path as the earlier falcon. That's a new yard bird for me!
