Mike - good idea for rarely used battery storage capacity.  ~460 12vdc amp-hrs is worth the effort.My thoughts - if you are willing to develop and install a switching configuration that will switch from 12vdc parallel to 24vdc, then a regular inverter would work.  It's highly dependent upon your making sure the inverter doesn't get zapped by 24vdc, or interconnect so that it must be so configured before the inverter is activated.But a (likely pricey) 24vdc inverter would be simpler.  If you use a full blown marine inverter/charger selling the now surplus 24vdc charger will help defray the cost.Jim Ward42'+ Presentcurrently Washington, NCSent form my smartphone, except typos...
