Flash Sale! No, seriously, I mean a flash of lightning. I have a very nice Standard Horizon GX2200 VHF DSC radio (black) with built-in AIS receiver that is 100% fully functional, with the sole exception that the NMEA-0183 ports are dead. The UARTs were victims of a lightning strike on my boat during the giant storm a week ago. NMEA ports in several other pieces of equipment also died, including a PC, an MFD, a depth display, and an autopilot. Other than NMEA ports, everything else is functional. I needed the NMEA output and so I had to replace the radio with a new one ($350). My loss can be your gain; I'm selling this one for $150, plus shipping. If all you need is a working VHF radio with DSC capabilities, for example for your tender, this one will work nicely. It has a built-in GPS, which works fine, and so it has position information for the DSC functions even without working NMEA ports. As a bonus, the built-in AIS receiver (with display) will let you see a list of nearby ships and initiate a DSC call to them with the push of a button. Add a loudhailer speaker and this radio will also provide all needed fog signals, including under way, stopped, towing, aground, and anchored, and can act as a horn. All radio functions have been tested and are working with the exception of the NMEA ports. There is one additional catch. The radio is programmed with my MMSI, and I will not send it out this way. It can be programmed one additional time. In order for me to send you this radio you will need to send me your MMSI, which I will program in before shipping. Comes with radio, mounting bracket and knobs, power cord, sun/weather cover, and microphone clip. Cosmetically in excellent condition (it was installed in an indoor pilothouse) almost indistinguishable from brand new. Photos on request.
