From Meredith Sampson:

1/02 - Stratford, refuge behind 650 Long Beach Blvd. -- 2 SEMIPALMATED PLOVERS,
2 ROUGH-LEGGED HAWKS.
Stratford, Long Beach -- GLAUCOUS GULL, 3 SNOW BUNTINGS
Stratford, Gun Club - CLAY-COLORED SPARROW.
Stratford, Frash Pond -- 2 LESSER SCAUP

To echo Scott's advice:  be patient and watch/listen for Field Sparrows.
The Clay-colored is with them.  A nice, bright bird.
Also had 4 Savannah Sparrows at Short Beach, and at Birdseye boat ramp:
6 American Coots and a Pied-billed Grebe that thought it was a coot, swimming
with them.
