Good morning, Jeff and all,

I’m wondering what our procedure is for sending thank-you notes to major attendees at the awards event. Do we typically do that? The attendees I have in mind are Congressman Walter Jones, Johan Uvin, and Heidi Silver-Pacuilla. There may be others that I didn’t see.

Thanks!

Deborah

Deborah,

Thanks for the question. I don’t think we have a specific procedure. I agree about sending thank you's and in fact I think we should follow up with everyone who attended, with individual thank-you’s to members of Congress and VIPs. I have the list with me.  I can delegate the general follow up emails, and send notes to the others myself (may be able to delegate some of those too, in some cases).

Other follow-ups:

I think I should also send a note to RSVPs who didn’t come and thank them for their interest, offer to follow up, etc.
I asked Ellen to draft a press release because the Philadelphia Mayor’s office said they would post it an distribute it to Philadelphia media. I figure we can also use this as a basis for a blog post. If someone would like to volunteer to coordinate that with Ellen and the Mayor’s Commision, let me know
I’ll ask Gabe to post the pictures so we can all look at them select the best and post.
We’ll post the Mayor’s video with our blog post. Once press release, photos etc. have been reviewed we can start working on the post.
I saw Jackie shooting video of Congressman Roe’s speech - I’ll see if she can share it with me - maybe we can pull quotes form it for the press release or blog post.

What am I missing?

Jeff
