Having only sailed that direction once, I can only offer one thought, we
departed the San Blas in May, bound for the W side of Cuba. At times we had
2kts of current pushing us. I'd look at the currents in the basin to insure
I was making the most favorable trip from a wind and current perspective.
My sense is taking the E route (Mona Passage) would make the most sense
going from N to S? Also, try to budget some time in the San Blas, they are
like no other place on earth! Good luck! Scott
