Official Counter:        Hugh Kent, Peter Veighey

Observers:        Aldo Bertucci, Liz Kent

Weather:
A moderate to strong wind initially from the East North East and changing
to East South East under overcast skies ensured that the temperature
remained between 3.9 and 8.2 C. Visibility was fair.

Raptor Observations:
It was a slow day for raptors. Highlights of the day were the Golden Eagles
(2) with the other raptors, Red-tailed Hawks (61), Red-shouldered Hawks
(8), and Northern Harriers (7). Turkey Vultures (45) continue to dwindle in
numbers.

Non-raptor Observations:
Lots of ducks congregating in the marsh. Some birds flew over in the west
direction. Hooded Mergansers appeared for the first time this season.
Continuing large numbers of ducks in the marsh (3000+) with 11 species
seen. American Crows (620), American Pipit (14), American Goldfinch (51),
Rusty Blackbird (59) and Cedar Waxwing (35) were all seen flying by.
The list is at https://ebird.org/canada/checklist/S154034526

Predictions:
Tomorrow is calling for clearer skies and sunshine by the afternoon. West
winds are predicted to reach about 24 kph.
Hopefully the lack of rain and clouds will improve the raptor count.
