Dog River Marina in Mobile AL would be a good location.  While looping, I
found few facilities in New Orleans that would be boater friendly.  We
acctually stayed on lake Poncatrane in a municipal marina.  I did not
feel that the municipal marina was at all boater friendly.  I had the
feeling that the employees I encountered had political  appointments and
knew very litle about boating.  The exception was the assistant
dockmaster who was very knowledgeable.
