Have Been Reading Your Letters About Man Overboard  And Have been Amazed That
No One Has Mentioned Making The Boats Safer . I Have Been Importing Trawlers

From Asia For The Last 25 Years And Have ALWAYS Had To Change The Spec`s On

Trawlers Built Over Their . Most Always We Have Had ALL The Rails Increased In
Dia. From 7/8" Or 1" Dia. Or Worst Of All S.S. Plastic Coated Sailboat Style
Safety Line . We Changed All These To 1 1/4" S.S. Rails . Almost Always We
Have Added 3" To 4" To The Height Of The Rails On Boats We Have Built Overseas
. Another Thing We Do Is Raise The Rails Even More At The Location Of The
Doors Coming Out Of The Pilot Houses. Also The Addition Of Safety Lines At
ladder Openings In The Rail Is A Good Idea .
What I`am Trying To Say Is Falling Overboard Should NOT Be An Option .. We
All Have Seen Knee High Safety ( Trip Lines ) Lines Or Worst Yet No Rails
Because It Takes Away From The Bow Shears Looks . When Your Looking To Buy A
Boat Think Safety First And If You End Up With A Boat That's Not Safe Modify
It And Make It Safe .
