Total observation time: 6.33 hours
Official Counter: Keith Sealy
Observers: Harvey Patterson
Weather:
Lots of cloud for the entire count period today. Cooler temps continued
with a high of 18. Winds were mainly SE which is typically not favourable
for a big flight.
Observations:
As it turned out the count for today wasn't too bad with a total of 389
birds recorded...mostly Sharpies and Kestrels. Of note were numerous
Cooper's, Merlin and even a couple more Peregrines thrown in for good
measure!
Predictions:
Strong SW winds this close to October 1st means it's Peregrine time!! I
expect there'll be a decent flight if the wind is as heavy as they're
predicting.
