TWL: Expenses

Back in school, I remember a bumper sticker that said "Gas, grass or ass?
Nobody rides for free!".

Without getting back into a discussion about becoming a for hire vessel by
charging guests, how do you all handle expenses?  If you motor your brother in
law around for a week, there will be fuel, moorage, pump outs, food and other
expenses that come up. Is this usually discussed prior to an invite, discussed
at the fuel pump, or just left open. What are the thoughts about guests &
expenses while relocating your boat from say NY to FL?

Isn't having a smoking section in a restaurant is like having a peeing section
in a swimming pool?

Michael, our boat is our home.  Do you charge people to visit your home?
Guess I don't understand your question.

I wouldn't even think about it. If I can't afford to please my friends and
family with my time and toys, I won't invite them aboard.
