Tacoma Arts Monthhttps://tacomaartsmonth.org/ is going strong and we are excited to highlight the opportunity to check out the remaining Open Studio Hourshttps://tacomaartsmonth.org/event-calendar/#event=77764811;instance=20241020110000 with Environmental Services 2024-2025 Artist in Residence, Teruko Nimura!

You are officially invited to visit Teruko at the Tacoma Recovery & Transfer Centerhttps://www.cityoftacoma.org/government/city_departments/environmentalservices/solid_waste/hours_and_driving_directions (3510 South Mullen Street), where she is installing her large scale art installation Entangled. This sculpture, the first of three works for her residency, weaves together a story of how our everyday actions connect us to the environment and each other.

The installation is taking place between EnviroHouse and the Recycle Center - look for the giant spider and web made of materials you may have found yourself tossing into your waste and recycling bins before!

You can visit Teruko from 11am-2pm:

Sunday October 20
*
Thursday October 24
*
Friday October 25
*
Saturday October 26

Hope to see you there!
