Washington Artist in Residency
The James & Janie Washington Foundation is dedicated to supporting emerging visual artists by providing them with time and space to create. The Foundation offers one month residencies to visual artists living in Washington State. Artists will be provided with the equipment, space and technical assistance to make sculpture on a scale which might otherwise be unaffordable, in a setting conducive to experimentation. Artists will work in Washington's historically significant house and studio in an environment that is both reflective and close to Seattle's downtown experiences. The residency will be open to artists who work in all mediums, but who are interested in focusing on sculpture during the residency. There are two type of residencies: Washington State Residency and King County Residency. Applications are due March 31st, 2010. Please visit our website at www.jameswashington.orghttp://www.jameswashington.org for detailed information about this program and application process.
