To play or not to play? The ABCs of Parent Child Interaction Therapy
Not sure what to do with disruptive behaviours in your child clients?
Find out about effective treatments for callous-unemotional traits and aggressive behaviour in children
Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) is a short-term parent training treatment for disruptive behaviours in young children, supported by decades of research.
PCIT emphasises improving the parent-child relationship through promotion of a secure attachment parenting style and in-vivo coaching of parents by therapists using an ear-bug device.
This seminar offers the latest PCIT research evidence, introduce the basics of PCIT coaching, and observational coding using the Dyadic-Parent Child Interaction System (DPICS) that is used to guide treatment.
It will incorporate video examples, practical training activities, and information on PCIT certification requirements.
This seminar is for you is you are working with families to help parents manage their young children with severe behaviour problems.
