BEST WISHES FOR A SAFE AND SUCCESSFUL EVENT... ... to all Gators crossing the starting and finishing lines this weekend! The weekend includes two key events... A 50+ mile bike ride to the city and back and a dip in the ocean! The weather looks spectacular, particularly on Friday and Saturday, so whether or not you have an event, get out and enjoy the sunshine and low humidity! We are also offering our usual Sunday morning swim slot at the Spring Valley YMCA's indoor lap pool between 11:15am-12:15pm. Events - Saturday, July 31: • Barnegat Light Ocean Mile Swim (Barnegat Light, NJ): Holly Beauchamp will be participating in this event! Holly, no pressure or anything, but you are our only Gator taking on an official "sign up and pay for it" event this weekend, so all of our hopes and aspirations are with you... Please don't let us down! And take some pictures (not while you are swimming) so that we can see how much fun you had! • KO to KC Ride (Oaks to Philly and back): We'll start at Kristen's bench and tree, then proceed down the SRT, into Center City, all the way to club cycling sponsor Keswick Cycle's University City shop... After a brief visit with the Keswick team, we'll make the return trip to Oaks. We currently have 9 planning to participate including Jill Basile, Jon Crosby, Angela Epelbaum, Gregg Heimer, Keith Ho, Don Mack, Jeff Moyer, Gina Stango, and Jeffrey Stango. If you would like to join us, all that you have to do is (1) indicate "Going" on the event and (2) arrive at the Reynolds Dog Park early enough to be ready for an on time departure at 7:30am. We currently have 3 on our start list including Chris Acosta, Chris Townsley, and Don Mack... We'd love to have more Gators join us for this very local (2 minute walk from the SRT) and fun 1/2 mile OWS event that includes a great post-race BBQ for the very low price of about $30.
