In the spirit of encouraging broader discussion on this valued listserv, I
wanted to share an article I recently wrote about a native pollinator
meadow I’ve been working on establishing at Allen’s Meadow in Wilton. While
the project does not target birds directly, a byproduct will be a huge
buffet of food for Fall migrants, in particular, seed-eaters. Most of you
are probably familiar with Allen’s as a birding “hotspot”, especially in
the Fall; this native pollinator meadow is adjacent to the highly
productive (for birds, in this case) community gardens so with the addition
of this native meadow Allen's will hopefully produce even more migrants
(and rarities) for years to come.

thanks for posting this Joe. And I'm happy to hear that your efforts are bearing fruit (or rather, flowers). I look forward to seeing the garden next year.
