Might be time to remind people about the private outfit called Vessel Documentation Portal from Middleton Delaware that charges a high fee to help you renew your Coast Guard Documentation certificate.  I got their letter in the mail on Saturday.  Over the years many people have been snared by this, or perhaps other similar outfits, that charge a high fee to do what you can easily do for yourself.   >From my experience they always send their letters to arrive a few weeks before the renewal letter arrives from the USCG.  caveat emptor Gary Hagstrom Iron River, Wisconsin
