09/07/12 - Stratford, Stratford Point -- 9:30 AM; CLAY-COLORED SPARROW
well seen with a few Songs in weedy area north of main building, near
east end of snow fence.  Entrance gate may be closed. Birders may park
in pull off before gate and walk north around chain link fence (as
fishermen do) to preserve.

09/07/12 - Stratford, Birdseye boat ramp -- 8 AM; American Avocet
still present on the jetty south of the boat ramp. Backlit by sun.

09/07/12 - Stratford, Birdseye boat ramp -- American Avocet on the
jetty to the right of the Birdseye boat ramp.

From Donna Caporaso:
09/07/12 -  Stratford -- American Avocet on the jetty at the Stratford
Greenway as of 8:00 a.m. hanging out with the Cormarants. (The
Greenway is located at the end of Beacon Point road which is the side
street off of Birdseye Street just before the boat ramp parking lot.)

09/07/12 - Stratford, greenway -- American Avocet on breakwater.

09/07/12 - Stratford, Stratford Greenway (Beacon Point Rd) -- 6:40 PM;
American Avocet still on the breakwater.  Best viewed from the first
two benches on left.

09/07/12 - Canton yard -- 9:35 AM; Four Red Crossbills flew over the
house relatively low going west to east.  One Purple Finch flew over
an hour earlier.

09/07/12 - Barkhamsted, Upper Greenwoods -- GREY-CHEEKED THRUSH.
09/06/12 - Colebrook, Colebrook River Lake -- WHITE-RUMPED SANDPIPER.

09/07/12 - New Haven, Lighthouse Point Park Hawkwatch -- 32 migrating
raptors observed including 1 PEREGRINE FALCON.  Also moving through
were small numbers of  Bobolinks, 1 DICKSCISSEL, 3 PURPLE FINCH, 2
Tennessee Warblers.
