Southern University at New Orleans' College of Business and Public Administration has earned reaffirmation of accreditation of the undergraduate and graduate degree programs in business for an additional five years from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International.
Less than 5 percent of all schools offering degree programs in business at the bachelor level or higher worldwide hold AACSB accreditation. "We are very proud to be a part of the 5% of all business schools to hold this prestigious accreditation," Dr. James Ammons, Executive Vice President of the Southern University System and Chancellor of Southern University at New Orleans said.
"Our AACSB accreditation demonstrates that our students have the pedigree to be competitive in the job market, especially with sought-after employers. We are particularly appreciative of our students, faculty, staff, alumni, and supporters whose joint effort made this achievement possible," Dr. Igwe Udeh, Dean of the College of Business and Public Administration, said.
As the longest-serving and largest global accrediting body for business schools, AACSB connects lifelong learners, educators, and businesses worldwide. Today, 950 business schools in 59 countries and territories maintain AACSB accreditation. Schools that have earned AACSB accreditation demonstrate an ongoing commitment to excellence in teaching, research, curriculum development, and student learning.
