Inquiry on performances lost

Dear Maildev list,

I just subscribed to Maildev list, hope I joined right one for those
below matters.

One of the reasons our companies & partners selected Thunderbird few
years ago as email messaging solution was the comfort offered by those 3
enjoyable functions at that time :

QuickFolders

CopyFolders

*Lightning *(Apply Stabilo-like color on texts)

For some compatibility reasons of probably V66 Beta on going versions,
none of those functions do work any longer, quite ennoying and leading
to operation time wasting as we use Thunderbird for professional
activities where time saving is key.

Any chance they could be incorporated into Thunderbird by default ?

Any recommended existing alternative modules which could provide same
functions ?

Thanks for all the work done

Best Regards

Hey - Lightning is already bundled with Thunderbird.

Copying folders is basically already supported, through drag-n-drop.
There's bug 404955 https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=404955
for such a context menu.

Many thanks Magnus,

Appreciate your reply.

Maybe Lightning is not appropriate term .. Before we could to something
like this with colors applied :Word

We don't find such a function in current Thunderbird version

...

Let me know if my inquiries / comments are not suitable into that forum
trailing .. I'm not "complaining" at all, just asking .. I'm an "old"
developer on Fortran for decades et guess the job done behind a market
known application, so you all developers have my deepest respect

Can you explain what that means? And which version are you talking about?

There was a problem with tag colours which has been fixed in TB 66 beta 3 (and was always working in TB 60.x).

Yes GL,

There was an add-on some months ago (I forgot the name) which enabled to
over color a text like I just do in Green color

Is such a function already provided in TB ? If so, I don't find it.
