From Sara Zagorski: 12/31/13 - East Haven, Brazos Rd -- male Barrow's Goldeneye continues, seen looking east from the lookout area. It was hanging out with some females, and one of them was a warm brown duck with a white spot on it's face and pale coloring on the face, a female HARLEQUIN DUCK. I remember Richard Payne posting that he had seen one in the area with the Barrow's a few weeks ago. The birds were down the beach where all the houses are located. From Arthur Shippee: 12/30/13 - Hamden, North Lake Dr -- 40+ Rusty Blackbirds, mixed M & F, and male Yellow-Bellied Sapsucker. 12/31/13 - Hamden, North Lake Dr -- 20+ Rusty Blackbirds shortly before 4 PM.
