URGENT NOTE: Please read a VERY important message from Ken Elkins, COA

From Frank Mantlik via Charlie Barnard:
07/26/11 - Stratford, Access Road pool (opposite R E Michel) -- Stilt
Sandpiper and a Western Sandpiper feeding, 7:30 AM.

From Bill Asteriades:
07/26/11 - Stratford, Access Rd Pool --  Stilt Sandpiper and Western
Sandpiper continue at 4:45 in the afternoon.

From Frank Mantlik:
07/26/11 - Stratford, Access Rd Pool, opposite R.E. Michel Co -- adult
STILT SANDPIPER was still present with a variety of common shorebirds
at 5:20pm.  Water levels were great for shorbs; but heavy rains
tonight will likely refill the pool, making the water too deep for
most waders.
Short Beach Park (Dorne Drive) -- 1 adult ROSEATE TERN among about 400
Common and 100 Least Terns, actively fishing in the river mouth.

From Nick Bonomo:
07/26/11 - West Haven, Sandy Pt, (Morse Point, technically) --
first-summer LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL.

From Lane Kirby:
07/26/11 - Branford -- Some good views of an adult Yellow-crowned
Night Heron behind the house this morning in a small canal in the
Pawson Park marsh.

From Paul Desjardins:
07/26/11 - South Windsor, Station 43 --  from the Newberry Road
section, Least Bittern.

From John Ogren:
07/26/11 - Bridgeport, Metro North train yard -- pair of Common Raven.
Old Saybrook, yard --  my 7 Purple Martins (3 nests) have turned into
12-14 birds with a couple still in the nests.
