RACOR FUEL FILTERS

I contacted RACOR about this new design because I was concerned
with the "energy bypass" that's stamped in the top of the housing.

Wanted to know if it would open if the filter became clogged. They
told me that was put there so if the filter did plug you could knock
out the plug and bypass filtering your fuel if you didn't have a
replacement on board. Wonder how much R&D went into that idea.
Could do the same thing with an ice pick

Guess the only way I'll find out for sure is to pull the top off the housing
and check it on every oil change.

They are sending me a couple of spacers though. I will install them before
we leave. Maybe this is the reason I've been getting more smoke than usual.
