Oil slick report

There's GOOD NEWS TODAY for many of us, for others the outlook is more

grim. Headlines today in the Mobile Press Register are very positive for THIS
area and EAST of Mobile Bay. The oil slick seems to be heading away from
Alabama shores and drifting WEST towards the LA./NO area, not so good for
those people. That means that the ICW should be free and clear at least for
now (so bring that boat up, Letson!) I have not heard from Bob Austin re the
entrance to the Pensacola area so I do not know if that opeing is being
protected as is the Mobile Bay entrance but as long as the slick is drifting
west, the Pan Handle and ICW should remain clean.
This is a serious issue
so let's keep the finger pointing out of it guys, OK? There are many REAL
experts working overtime on the problem so keep your agendas to yourselves
please.
