Eurasian Wigeon (COCHRANE): Rhonda Donley reported a male at Lillabelle
Lake on April 27.
TUFTED DUCK x scaup sp. (hybrid) (Toronto): The male bird found February 9
off Tommy Thompson Park continued to at least May 2.
Eared Grebe (Toronto): Hervé Tremblay found one at Colonel Sam Smith Park
on APril 28 that was seen by many to at least May 2.
Western Grebe (Hamilton/Halton): The bird found by Joanne Muis Redwood off
LaSalle Park on April 24 (possibly the same bird seen earlier that month)
remained to at least April 26.
Western Grebe (Toronto): One bird was at Colonel Sam Smith Park May 1-2.
Eurasian Collared-Dove (Kenora): Tyler Peacock reported one in Dryden on
April 27.
Yellow Rail (Wellington): Dan and Desmond MacNeal found one at the Ignatius
Jesuit Centre in Guelph on May 1 that was heard by several observers again
the next day.
BLACK-NECKED STILT (Middlesex): The one found by Mark Bakelaar at Strathroy
Sewage Lagoons on April 9 continued to at least May 2.
Laughing Gull (Lennox and Addington): Kurt Hennige photographed an adult on
Nugent Rd, north of Newburgh on April 30.
Pacific Loon (Chatham-Kent): One bird was reported east of Wheatley on
April 28.
Pacific Loon (Toronto): Up to two birds were photographed this week off
Tommy Thompson Park April 26-30.
NEOTROPIC CORMORANT (Norfolk): Stu Mackenzie reported one of the Birds
Canada headquarters in Port Rowan on April 26.
LITTLE BLUE HERON (Essex): Jeremy Hatt and Cameron Chevalier reported one
flying over the Sparrow Field at Point Pelee on APril 28.
TRICOLORED HERON (Bruce): Jarmo Jalava found one at Sky Lake, west of Mar
on May 1 that was seen by many throughout the day.
TRICOLORED HERON (Chatham-Kent): Nancy DeMoor photographed one near Keith
McLean CA before it flew out towards Rondeau Bay on May 2.
Snowy Egret (Chatham-Kent): One bird was seen by many near Mitchell's Bay
April 26-May 2.
Western Cattle Egret (Norfolk): Ted and Paula Gent found one on Troyer Rd
on April 30 that was seen by many the same day.
Western Cattle Egret (Toronto): One bird was seen by many at Tommy Thompson
Park on April 28.
Glossy Ibis (Essex): Michael Hudak found one just north of Hillman Marsh on
APril 29 that was seen by many to at least April 30.
Loggerhead Shrike (Essex): One bird was seen by many at the Tip of Point
Pelee on May 2.
Black-billed Magpie (CHATHAM-KENT): Two birds continued this week from the
Shrewsbury area.
Harris's Sparrow (Bruce): One bird was seen by many at a private residence
near Inverhuron April 29 to at least May 2.
Harris's SParrow (Essex): Paul and Liz Hunter and Mike Nelson found one in
the Visitor Centre parking lot at Point Pelee on APril 27 that was seen by
many.
Henslow's Sparrow (Essex): Jim Burk found one near the tip of Point Pelee
that was seen by many on APril 27.
Worm-eating Warbler (Essex): Marianne Balkwill found one near Dunes day use
area in Point Pelee on April 27 that was seen by many.
Kentucky Warbler (Essex): Mike St. Pierre found one on Woodland Nature
Trail at Point Pelee on April 27 that was seen by many. It continued in the
same area again on April 28.
Yellow-throated Warbler (Essex): Max Segler photographed one flying off the
tip of Point Pelee on April 27. Taylor Kennedy reported one flying off Fish
Point on Pelee Island on April 28 and Kiah Jasper, Alessandra Kite, and
Allanah Vokes photographed one there doing the same on April 29.
Yellow-throated Warbler (Hamilton): Lorenzo Campanelli reported on in
Hamilton on April 29.
Summer Tanager (Chatham-Kent): Steve Charbonneau photographed a female at
McGeachy Pond and a male around Harrison and Tulip Tree Trails, Rondeau,
both on April 29. Dave Michielsen reported a young male at the Pony Barn in
Rondeau on May 2.
Summer Tanager (Essex): Point Pelee had at least one bird (April 28, 29,
30, and May 1) and three birds (May 2) reported by many. Fish Point on
Pelee Island had at least one bird April 30 and May 1.
Summer Tanager (Hamilton): Steve Sz reported a young male at Spencer Creek
on May 1.
Summer Tanager (Simcoe): Stacy Zelazny photographed a young male at their
feeder in Tiny April 28 that remained to at least May 1.
Summer Tanager (Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry): An adult male was visiting
feeders at a private residence near Lunenberg this week.
Summer Tanager (Toronto): A young male was at Sunnybrook Park on April 29.
A young male was at Colonel Sam Smith Park April 30 and May 1.
WESTERN TANAGER (Lambton): Noodin Miskokomon reported a male at a feeder on
Walpole Island on May 2.
WESTERN TANAGER (Simcoe): Henrique Pacheco found a female at Big Bay Point
in Innisfil that was seen by many on May 1.
Blue Grosbeak (Essex): Kiah Jasper, Alessandra Kite, and Allanah Vokes
photographed one flying off the tip of Fish Point, Pelee Island on April 28.
