There are a lot of misconceptions about CO. It is very nearly the same "weight" as air. It mixes in air currents and can be found both high and low. The dedicated 10 year sealed battery units are what I use. No corrosion problem, and the price is reasonable. One in the engine/battery area and one in the sleeping area.  Ken
