The Waubaushene Channel is well marked, but very difficult to identify
the channel marks against the setting sun late in the day, after you
clear Mary Rocks. The Turning Rock light is readily identified. Add
the threat of a late afternoon thunderstorm, and this becomes a very
memorable event! Been there done that. I would encourage you to use
this channel earlier in the day if at all possible, especially your
first time through westbound.
