Dear Colleagues,
Another wonderful new member. Please see below his self-introduction.
My name is Martin Gehlmann. I am a PhD candidate at the Project CRC 980 "Episteme in Motion" at Freie Universität Berlin, Germany. I am also a member of the Institute of Korean Studies at FU Berlin and have graduated from the Chinese studies department. I study the history of Confucian academies in East Asia and focus on the "Bailudong Shuyuan" as a model institution among the educational institutions in China and Korea during the Song, Yuan, Ming and Choson dynasties. I was made aware of your list by a mail of King Kwong Wong, who I know from a workshop at the Academy of Korean Studies, in the Koreanstudies mailing list.
