I struggled with the same problem and decided on the newer aluminum frames with a thin skin of fiberglass on top Hi I am in the process of building a hard top. Like you I will use a welded aluminum pipe frame covered by well something? I have not been able to find a source for fiberglass sheet material. I don't want to use PVC board or Starboard because I'm worried about expansion and contraction with temperature change. What did you use? Any help would be appreciated. Brian Palmetto FL
