My Shakespeare lasted about five years in the Caribbean sun before it developed a bad case of the "fuzzies". The Morad SSB antenna is the most rugged and best performing SSB whip antenna that I have found. It is powdercoated aluminum with a fiberglass stinger section...rated at 100 mph. Morad mfgrs a full line of VHF, UHF, MF and HF antennas and provides the antennas that the USCG uses in their rollover surf rescue boats.
