Peter  -

Is your N55 site accessible to non Nordies? Our boat and many others  have
F/S gear too and it always seems to generate a lot of interest. I  have to say
that whereas I consider myself an average innovator, I am not  one to
re-invent
the wheel. It has been frustrating to know that there is a lot  of valuable
user data out there which is inaccessible to "outsiders," and I'll  bet that
there are many of us who have valuable input which those on closed  lists
never
see. Is there a possibility of a bridge between these  societies?

Meantime, I am happy to share info I have amassed on the subject and some
things that worked for us. Also, I have just purchased a 3500lb Dillon
dynamometer in order to assess the actual maximum pull developed by the fish
at
different speeds and using different shackle holes. I am also always anxious
to
read what others are doing or have done.

Regards,

John
"Seahorse"

OK, our N55 site has had over 20 postings on  Flopper Stoppers. It

appears that an odd expert (member) out there doing it  big time (like
just crossed the Pacific) says he doesn't deploy his in rolly  anchorages
because he doesn't need to, and I have used mine only once, and  think
they are brilliant, but believe the deployment and retrieval is often  a
pain in the butt. HOW CAN WE MAKE THIS EASIER, OR DO THEY NOT  REALLY
WORK WELL ENOUGH FOR THE TROUBLE?
