A possible explanation for its presence it that it got involved with
Migrating Blue Jays.
Not unlike Boreal Chickadees when Black-capped Chickadees have a
flight year

It might be worth it to pay attention the next time one sees a flock
of jays on the move.
Especially for those who buy lottery tickets.
