8/29 West Haven, Sandy Point - we present about
10:45am-12:30pm-
1 ad. BAIRD'S SANDPIPER, 2 WILLETS (at least one
"western"), 1 RED KNOT, 1 OR 2 FORSTER'S TERNS, 1 ad.
ROSEATE TERN,  300 COMMON TERNS.  Also among the 12
species of shorebirds was 1 WESTERN SANDPIPER, which
was very weak, had a wound on it's chest/belly, and
which eventually expired in the incoming tide at our
feet.

FM visited other coastal sites (Milford & Stratford),
tallying 17 species of shorebirds, and 6 long-legged
waders (herons).
