Thanks to all that responded. Left the car sitting for the past year at
Green Cove Springs, Fl with the negative cable disconnected and the battery
left in the car's engine compartment. The battery had been new one year
ago. Today, without any charging having been done to the battery in the
past year, the car started right up, didn't even hesitate. Tires only
needed miniscule amounts of air. Even though a trickle charger would work
if placed on the dash, I now question if It would be needed for a battery
that is fairly new, though I might install one if we leave the car for
another extended period of time just for peace-of-mind. Hadn't done it this
past year as I wasn't sure it would work if placed inside the car and
didn't want to risk having it 'borrowed' if left on the outside of the car.
Larry, are you getting together with the boating club there in Punta Gorda?
Jill says howdy back at you.
