In the trees in Mansfield, Could I have heard a Warbling Vireo? I have only heard them in Spring.

Susie,

Yes, vireos often sing into the fall. I often hear Warblings in September.
In fact, one was singing at Lighthouse Pt in New Haven on Saturday.
