To All -
Although cool & rainy, Sunday June 3rd was a good day to race with an
easterly wind at 10 - 15 mph. We had four boats on the line, including Zoom
and Pentimento from Shattemuc. Remember that on Sundays and Regatta weekends
the finish line is offset to starboard of the Race Committee (look for the
lime green ball) so that we don't interfere with the one-design starts and
finishes. That bit everybody in the first race on Sunday, and the Race
Committee didn't offer any verbal clarification. If you don't get a horn
when you cross the line, something isn't OK. Please review the attached
Sunday Sailing Instructions so you know what to look for.
Thanks to Howie Rinehart for getting us the results, and thanks to Dave
DeVries and his crew on the Race Committee.
Congratulations to our racers. We need more boats on the line each Sunday.
The Race Committee usually gets two races in, so if you mess up the first
time you have a chance to redeem yourself the second time! Also, Sunday
racing gives double the points.
See you on the water soon.
