Time-nuts:
I have an FTS4060 cesium beam reference. In search mode, so "control" runs up and down automatically, the "beam" setting remains just above zero (around 0.3V). Does this mean that the tube is dead? Anything else I should check?
Thanks!

That sort of would indicate a failing tube. Absolutely there might be other
issues. But I find the 4050 I have to be quite a pain to dig into. It had
leaking caps in the 28V to 32V converter that really messed up the
converter that also contained other circuitry. That 32V was critical and if
wrong could be why you see what you do. Ovens being cold or wrong also.
Lots of possibilities so don't give up. The 4050 is also discreet logic
thats nice. But its built in a fairly compact format. Thats the challenge.
Look forward to what you find.
