Although Arizona State University's main campus is located in the neighboring city of Tempe, Arizona, the University has partnered with the City of Phoenix to construct a Downtown Phoenix campus here. Incorporating a college campus into downtown Phoenix has presented some unique legal and practical challenges, but the campus is in its third academic year and apparently flourishing.
