10/25 Ellington: I escorted a visiting birder from Phoenix, AZ this morning looking for the barnacle goose seen Sunday.
We could not find it but did find a cackling goose in fields at the corner of Middle and Abbot roads. Also were loads of
pipets.
At home had a visit from the rufous hummer and 20-25 pine siskins.
Somers, Hutten Rd. an adult male northern harrier sitting in the middle of the field.
