Hi, Birders have been looking for the Northern Gannet this morning. To my knowledge it had not been relocated as of yet. I searched along the lakefront this morning from the Skyway Bridge/Burlington Beach, east to 50 Point CA in Grimsby. I did not locate a single feeding frenzy that would attract the Gannet. On top of this, the wind is blowing from the west and north and, is at times quite strong. These winds could easily have pushed the Gannet east towards Niagara or perhaps back to New York state where it was seen before visiting us. Its still worth searching for of course.
