<!-- DIV {margin:0px;} -->First Sunday Races of 2020! Hot, hot, hot ... and hardly any wind. Four Cruising Fleet members ventured the start, two fell by the wayside, and two crossed the finish line (with only minutes to spare before the RC would have invoked the 2-hour time limit). Thanks to the RC for making the right call on the course (#4: B-A for Non-Spinnaker).

At least Nyack had enough wind to start (and complete) a race. In the morning, Shattemuc's Pedlow Race (NBC members invited to participate) had 10 boats waiting to race, but no wind appeared during the 60 minutes after the posted start time of 10:30 a.m. The Pedlow race has been rescheduled for Friday, July 10, 6 p.m. (NBC member still invited).

This July 5 Sunday Race is counted for the Cruising Fleet Sunday Short Series. The next Sunday series race is July 19, and next week (Sunday, July 12) there will be a PHRF start at 1:30 p.m., as there will be every Sunday throughout the season, for any skippers who want to have a go around the marks.
