BEST WISHES FOR A SAFE AND SUCCESSFUL EVENT...
... to all Gators who will be running, rolling, or otherwise getting it
done this weekend!
After a massive event weekend last week, this week is a bit quieter, but we
do have 5 athletes with events taking place on Friday and Saturday.
In case you missed it...
• Gators Bike Maintenance/Tire Changing Clinic! It's taking place before
our intervals ride on Tuesday 6/21. If you do not know how to expertly
change a flat tire, be there. If you do not know how to show your bike some
love and tenderness, be there! See "Event" for more details...

• Homework! And if you did not have an opportunity to attend Tuesday
night's 90 minute virtual bike maintenance/tire changing seminar, it's
recorded and you can find it under announcements. It was great and
definitely worth doing some homework and checking it out!
• FREE Scoogie Events Entry for Youth Gators! We are raffling off a free
entry to the Scoogie Events' Kids Rock Summer Triathlon taking place on
August 27! All registered Jr. Gators and Gator Tots are eligible! See the
post under "Featured" or contact Cindy Kelecic or Angela Epelbaum for more
information!
• Gators of the Month - June! Congratulations to David Stone and Sara
Dansbury who were announced this week as our June Gators of the Month! You
can find the video announcements under "Featured". Watch for interviews
coming soon!
• Our 2022 member t-shirts are going, going... not yet gone! Sizes are
first come, first serve, so see Jill Basile or Don Mack to get one before
they are gone! We'll do the best we can to accommodate your size although
some sizes are already sold out. We also still have visors and Gator logo
car magnets available FREE to a good home!
• Philly Women's Tri volunteers needed! Join us for one of the best and
most rewarding parties of the year at the Gator hydration station on the
Philadelphia Women's Triathlon run course! We've already started to work on
DJ Ho's playlist that will include song requests by our Lady Gators as they
motor on through the station! Besides having a ton of fun, we'll receive a
donation from DelMo Sports for every volunteer! Please register today (the
registration password is "GATORS22ROCK")...

Weekend Workouts: Take advantage of this spectacular weather weekend by
getting outside! We have a couple of options for you to consider...
• Saturday 6/18, early AM departures: Group Rides... There are two rides
that we are aware of that our athletes training for long distance events
will be doing... Jill Basile is leading a 100 mile ride and Jon Wesler is
leading a 90 mile ride. If you are interested in more information, please
reach out to Jill or Jon.
• Sunday 6/19, 11:15am-12:15pm, Spring Valley YMCA indoor lap pool:
Uncoached group swim workout
• Do you want to lead a group bike ride or run? We highly encourage you to
share on our Facebook group any rides or runs that you are doing where
you'd like some company!
Weekend Events: Here's our start list for this weekend; if you have an
event this weekend that is not included below, please post a comment so
that we can send good Gator vibes your way, too!...
Friday, June 17:
• Media 5 Mile Race (Media, PA): Lindsay Inger will be getting an early
start on her weekend with this event that has been around since 1980 as a
fundraiser for a local political campaign. Politics are no longer part of
it, but the race continues. Go Lindsay!
Saturday, June 18:
• New York Road Runners Queens 10K (Flushing Meadows Corona Park, NY):
They're back at it! Joe DeNicola and Susan Flavin return to NYC for this
event, which is part of the NYRR 5 Borough series, and this time they are
bringing youth Gators alum Adam Flavin! Go Joe, Susan, and Adam!
• Roll, Stroll, & Run (Souderton, PA): This event, which supports the
Indian Creek Foundation, features everything from a 5K walk/run to bike
rides ranging in length from 10 miles to 62 miles/metric century. Gators
Holly Beauchamp and Deb Rocco will be taking on the metric century
distance. Go Holly and Deb!
Have a great weekend taking your own leap of faith, have fun, and Gator
Done! 🐊
