We are very excited to present a special event, a collaboration between Duo Rubicund and soprano.  Our special guest, Yvette Litchfield, is leaving for Europe shortly so this is your only opportunity to hear us together in concert.

Repertoire includes the wonderful Sephardic songs (you may have heard a preview of this at the Classical Guitar Society Christmas concert last year) but also a selection of Schubert Leider for Soprano and Guitar.  On flute and guitar we will be performing a new work as well as previewing the work we have been invited to perform in Las Vegas at the National Flute Association Convention this summer.

To further whet your appetite, here is a short biography for our guest:

Australian soprano Yvette Litchfield graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London with a Master of Music (Performance) with Merit.  Yvette holds a Graduate Diploma in Music (Performance) from the Sydney Conservatorium and a Bachelor of Arts (Philosophy, Italian) from The University of Sydney.  Repertoire includes roles from Le Nozze di Figaro, Don Giovanni, Die Zauberflöte, Così fan Tutte, L'Elisir d'Amore, Dido and Aeneas, L'Incoronazione di Poppea, L'Orfeo, Der Freischütz, Princess Ida, Iolanthe and Die Fledermaus.  Following her solo debut with the Seattle Symphony in March, Yvette sang the role of Alice in Rossini's Le Comte Ory with Pocket Opera San Francisco in April, and has just returned from Berlin where she performed Dido in Purcell's Dido and Aeneas at the Steglitzer Festival.  She will perform Susanna in Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro in Weimar, Germany in August.
