We have received several requests that we post our survey results and
provide our presentation to the list for those who can not attend Trawler
Fest.

We will post our results to the list after Trawler Fest, mainly because
nothing is ever done until the deadline is reached and this technology
changes daily.

We will also post our presentation on our web site and for those who do not
have access to a web browser we will send all or part by e-mail.

On the subject of our web page, we have decided to name our Trailerable
Trawler design "Portager". We selected this name because it emphasizes the
most unique feature of the design, i.e. its ability to travel across land.
Therefore we have registered the domain name "portager.info". This is where
you will be able to view our presentation following Trawler Fest and where
you will be able to find information on the Portager project (although it
won't work for a few days).

Communicatively;

Mike, I have been shown a picture of a communication device, made by
Motorola, that combines net access, e-mail, voice communication and
GPS (?) all in one decent size unit with keyboard and active colour
matrix. It uses geostationary satellites rather than cell-phone
towers. Price and availability are not yet known (here in Canada),
but with your background, perhaps you can find out more about it and
include in your presentation.
It would apparently fill all a traveller's needs perfectly and work
world-wide on land or oceans.
The picture I have seen was in a Radio Shack catalogue.
