04/26/10 - Portland, Portland Fair Grounds -- 12 WILSON'S SNIPE.  I'm
sure there were more Snipe but the grass is high enough so they cannot
be seen.  Most of the birds that I saw got up in front of me as I
walked around the wet area on the right that is just past the
buildings.  I also kicked up a few on the other side of the dirt
drive.

04/26/10 - Farmington yard -- 1 BROWN THRASHER feeding voraciously on
seeds at backyard feeder, just 6 feet from my kitchen window.

Cemetery Pond, 6 a.m.) -- 1 AMERICAN BITTERN.
(White Memorial Foundation's Little Pond, 7:30 a.m.) -- 1 pair of

Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, 2 Purple Finches.

Cemetery Pond, 7:30 p.m.) -- 3 AMERICAN BITTERNS (1 calling from the
north side of the pond & 2 circling around overhead before flying
east), 2 BLUE-WINGED TEAL, 1 Wilson's Snipe.
(White Memorial Foundation's Mallard Marsh & Pine Is., 6-7:30 p.m.) --
1 Brown Creeper, 5 Rusty Blackbirds.

Museum Area & Ongley Field, afternoon) -- 5 Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers,
2 Common Ravens.

Blackbirds.
